Terrybly Densiliss Foundation (Various Shades)

I appreciate the thought process behind this foundation but I feel like the execution is lacking. I purchased this foundation after using the Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation. I like that, compared to the Hyaluronic foundation, this foundation doesn't make me go shiny and has much more of a matte/satin finish on the skin. I also like that a little goes a long way and you don't need to use more than a single pump (or less) for full coverage. However, I have to agree with other reviews that this foundation sticks to dry spots very badly and makes it obvious that you are wearing makeup. When I say this, keep in mind that I haven't had this problem with any other foundation other than both the Densiliss and Hyaluronic foundations from By Terry. I'm also disappointed that they have such a small range of skin tones available in the Terrybly Densiliss Liquid Foundation. For the price of this product, I think there are too many faults for a good review.

I bought this because I’m 31 and I’m finding a lot of foundation sets into creases making me look older so was looking for something that blurred my lines. I’ve used this twice so far and it feels great on my skin. It’s light and it’s moisturising. However, I’ve found it sticks to dry areas more which makes it harder to blend with a flawless finish. That said, if you’re only being seen on camera, it’s perfect - you can’t see the bits where it sticks and my skin looks like it did in my 20s or like I have a filter on. But in person, if you look fairly closely, you can see it’s not flawless and it’s a little uneven.  I’m undecided because I’m trying different blending techniques to see if I get it to blend better. I really want it to work because the parts of my skin where it has blended well look incredible and if I can get it to blend properly, it’s absolutely worth the cost (even full price(!)). So far, it doesn’t do well with a foundation brush and beauty blender. But it does fairly well with only using my fingers and applying it like I would a serum.  I hope I can get it to blend, because if I can, it’s THE perfect foundation. Fingers crossed!

Beautiful foundation; my skin looks great when I use it. I’m using the lightest shade, but it’s not quite light enough.

This foundation is moist enough not to emphasize fine lines and covers gently to give good coverage and color with out exaggerating.

Super light but can build up. Multiple ingredients hydronic acid, serum and spf.

This the best foundation that I have ever used/tried. Full coverage but so light, great colour match for me. I will never buy any other foundation.

Densiliss foundation is a darker color than I would have chosen, but when it goes on it is just right. I am fair with yellow undertones. This is the second time I have purchased this foundation so I am a repeat customer. When I ran out of the first one, I did a product comparison with Terrybly Densiliss on one side of my upper lip and Marc Jacobs on the other. The difference was so easy to see. Terry covered more of the fine lines and Marc Jacobs showed the same lines--made no appreciable difference in how I looked when I applied it. I also did not think I would like the matt color, because I have older skin and I tend to be on the dry side. The product went on smoothly and I used two fingers to smooth it in. Whatever it does, the magic is in how the product evens out coverage across the various surfaces on my face. It works great on Zoom calls and we all know how lighting impacts Zoom calls.

I tried many, MANY foundations.. and I have finally found my HG. I have very sensitive combo oily-dry skin but sweat a lot, so I need something long lasting and doesn’t break me out. I also love the demi-matte look or skin-like foundations but most of the long lasting ones are very matte such as EL double wear or NARS soft matte foundation. I both love those and have used ELDW for years. I thought the NARS was my holy grail but it just dried my skin out eventually. Enter the Densiliss foundation. I balked at the price at first but I saw so many good reviews, I took the plunge and never looked back! I will buy this full price if I ever run out, it is that good! It is the most skin like, natural looking foundation that doesn’t transfer or wear off. At the end of the day, it still looks good on me, like I just have a slight glow. The texture is serum like and applies like a dream. I use my fingers to apply 2 pumps, and it dries fairly quickly. I use the hydra primer or UV base sunscreen prior to applying it and I use the hydra tinted powder in Rosy light after. The shade Golden Beige is the closest to my skin tone out of all my foundations. For reference, I use NARS Fiji, ELDW in dawn, MAC NC 20-25, Giorgio Armani power fabric in 4.5, Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear in 205, and Too faced comfort matte in Porcelain. If you have any reservations, just think about all the $$ you spend “looking” for “the one” when you can have this all in one (skincare and foundation), natural looking foundation that is long lasting and transfer proof!
